The Oriental Hotel was often associated with contemporary artwork and a was a hangout for the Brighton art crowd. Consequently the Oriental is now an epicentre for displaying 'Brighton Art' on many different levels. Patrick is currently our resident exhibitor offering brooding landscapes of vivid colour and bold composition.
"Patrick O’Donnell’s radiant and powerful abstract paintings won him the Neo Hotel Art Prize at last year’s Brighton Art Fair. His oil paintings depict the power and grandeur of the forces of nature, swirling mists, and Krakatoan vistas." Latest 7, Sussex
Patricks work can be found in a number of locations around the hotel. More of Patricks work can be found on his website:
We are also exhibiting some beautiful black and white portraits and clubbing photography as well as works using mannequins on the streets of Brighton, from our resident photographer Prudence Fiddy. "Its worth seeking out this backstreet boarding house to gorge on sumptous work by Prudence Fiddy. Seriously sexy and stylish." Ed Milson Source Magazine Brighton (backstreet boarding house, the cheek!) More details of her work can be found on www.prudencephotography.co.uk
